How Butt Lifting Leggings Work

Fashion is constantly innovating. One of its most significant discoveries is push-up garments: clothing pieces that help enhance a part of the body. We all know that push-up bras use straps, padding, and the cup’s shape to lift the breasts and highlight them. Butt lifting leggings do a similar job but on the buttocks.

The origin of the butt lifting leggings has been registered in a Vancouver brand. Its owner, Ivis Gonzalez, is Colombian and wanted to create pants highlighting women’s buttocks.

This trend has remained throughout the years, and now it is widespread to see on social networks women boasting how good their buttocks look in butt lifting leggings and how magnificent they make them feel.

Today we can easily find butt lifting leggings in most retail stores. But what exactly are butt lifting leggings? They are leggings that are not sewn conventionally. Their pattern is made so that the horizontal seam that crosses the buttocks part is inverted, being higher and therefore, giving a sensation of enhancement.

It is suitable for all sizes. The back of the pants can also be seen in the shape of a heart, which creates an optical effect in which the buttocks appear to be framed. Other ways designers achieve the push-up result in their jeans are to attach side darts or the method previously practiced in underwear; add removable pads that plump and firm the buttocks. Besides, many butt lifting leggings are made with a thicker fabric than the rest or with a padded-looking fabric that helps the optical illusion of volume. Thanks to this material, the butt is tucked in much better, leaving it in place.

Butt lifting leggings have already become so widespread that we can find many designs to choose from: high-waisted pants, low-waisted pants, shorts, skinny jeans, mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, bell-bottoms. However, like most designs, these leggings will look better on certain body types than others.

Maybe your body is not very curvy: don’t worry because, with butt lifting leggings, you can create the opposite optical effect. It will always look like there is more volume in your body with light-colored jeans than you have. If these pants also have several pockets or visible seams in the design, the effect will be multiplied.

If you want to highlight your hips, you can opt for low waist leggings, and if you prefer that the attention falls on your waist, choose a high waist one. Both designs are fashionable, and you can combine them without any difficulty.

If, on the contrary, your body does stand out for its curves, you may not need to wear butt-lifting leggings. Use dark-colored, high-waisted jeans to slim your legs and straight-cut jeans to visually balance your figure.

Medium or high-waisted pants are recommended if you want to conceal your tummy. If the waist is too low, you may notice the extra centimeters in that area, so if you wear high-waisted leggings, they will act as a slimming girdle and camouflage it. To give a much more stylized image that will combine perfectly with your butt lifting leggings.
